Anime Arte Adaptation Supported by the Italian Embassy, Staff Holds Pre-Screening End of March 2020.
Embassy of Italy to Japan appreciates and supports the project anime from manga works Kei Ookubo , "Arte" . Giorgio Starace , the Italian Ambassador to Japan also commented on the work on an art-themed anime project using this Italian setting. It is planned that the first and second episode pre-screening events will be held at Istituto Italiano at the Agnelli Hall Cultura, Chiyoda District, Tokyo on March 29, 2020.
"This beautiful work took place in Florence during the Renaissance and can give you ideas about the meaning of art and human potential. The main character, Arte, is a person who embodies art and at the same time, successfully changes his destiny with his own strength using art. In other words, humanity has the power to change the flow of things and events. I think that thinking is the essence of "Renaissance" and an innovative way of thinking that leads to the values and development of modern society.
I believe the concept of beauty (can) save lives without regard to gender and social class, craft provides aspects of human dignity, and traditions form new elements to change the world. With messages from Arte, Italy and Japan look forward to working together to improve the world in spite of obstacles and cultural differences. "
